چکیده مقاله:

Zinc (Zn) is one of the essential elements in the body, that plays important roles in cellular and molecular functions. Physical activity leads to zinc deficiency that it is associated with many types of anemia. the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of six weeks’ endurance exercise with zinc supplementations on hemorheological parameters in adult male wistar rats. Methods: Adult Male albino Wistar rats (weighting 190±20 gr)divided into groups: treadmill controls (Cont), treadmill runners, (Exe), a group that was only given ZnO 1 mg/kg (ZnO), and a group that was given ZnO and was also allowed exercise activities (ZnO+ Exe). The training protocol was a model of forced aerobic exercise. They run 5 days per week for 6 weeks and 24 hours after the last exercising, their blood was gotten directly from their heart and poured in the test tubes including EDTA. All data were analyzed by using one-way analyses of variance (ANOVA). Newman keuls post hoc test was used for differents between multiple groupsand student T-test was used between two groups. Statistical significance was set at the P<0.05 level. Results: The results showed that Zinc supplement caused a significant increase in red blood cells, hemoglobin and hematocrit levels in compared with control and exercise groups. In other hand Zn supplement following exercise had significant difference on above factors in compared to exercise group alone. Zinc supplementation had no effect on blood plasma viscosity, fibrinogens and total protein levels. exercise significantly decreased the mean red blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit and increased blood and plasma viscosity, fibrinogens and total protein levels in compared with controlgroup. Other hematological parameters (WBC, PLT, MCV, MCH, MCHC) were not significantly different between groups. Conclusion: Lukaski has shown low plasma levels of zinc are associated with reduced activity of carbonic anhydrase in RBC and disturbance of metabolic responses during exercise; and according to previous studies, zinc is an essential factor for the development of red blood cells. Therefore, in this study, zinc supplementation with exercise was used to prevent zinc deficiency and to improve blood parameters. Findings of this study showed that supplementation of zinc following aerobic exercise may improve some of the hematological parameters; However, there was no effect onthe rheological parameters.
