چکیده مقاله:

The common green lacewing Chrysoperla carnea Stephens is one of the important species ofChrysopidae. It has significant rule in biocontrol and Integrated Pest Management. So effects ofthiametoxam, thiodicarb and imidacloprid on females and males of C. carnea adults were studied in thelaboratory conditions (25±2 ºC, 60±10% RH and 10-h photo phase). The results demonstrated that maleswere more susceptible to all insecticides compared to females. Comparison of susceptibility to insecticidesusing LC50 values and 95% confidence limits indicated that LC50 values of above-mentioned insecticides onfemales were 9.55, 5.76 and 1.15 times greater than those on males. Thiametoxam proved to be the mostpotent toxicant on males and females (by LC50 values of 8.83 and 73.05 μg ai. L-1, respectively). Highersusceptibility of males to the insecticides might be due to their smaller size, as indicated by lower weightcompared to females.
