چکیده مقاله:

Welding as one of the secondary processes for producing the final piece in powder metallurgy is very important. For this purpose, the connection of a piece of iron-copper alloy by powder metallurgy method to a carbon steel plate with spot resistance welding method was studied. For this purpose, pre-heating current, preheat time, cooled time between preheat and welding, welding current and welding time were investigated. Each of the variables except preheat time, in 4 levels and preheat time in 2 levels, by using the Taguchi method in 16 tests was investigated to optimization. Cutting-tensile test was performed on 44 joints of samples with three replication effect and significance of each variable was determined. Five samples were selected for metallography and microstructure images were prepared in different magnitude by optical microscope. The zone of welding was included different microstructure, for example, martensite, ferrite, and perlite. The results showed that strength increase with increasing the welding depth. In optimum conditions, the maximum shear-tensile strength was 9595 MPa. The images that produced with an electron microscope showed that the microstructure of the part was martensite and ferrite, respectively in powder metallurgy side and steel sheet.
