REACTIVE POWER COMPENSATION POLICY A MODALITY OF POWER AND ENERGY LOSS REDUCTION IN ELECTRIC NETWORK

The paper shows that the determination of network losses implies the analysis of 3 components : - basic component, determined in the design - technical losses component determined by the deviations from the optimum operation diagram and condition - commercial losses component The reactive power compensation policy determines the various tasks assigned to electric power consumers and suppliers together with the location and the operation of reactive power sources for the operating condition optimization from the technical economical point of view achieving a minimum technological consumption. The paper shows assessment and determination programs for sensitivity indicate which determine the operation and installation condition of the reactive power sources.At the same time the request obtained during the last 5 years are alsogiven.
