ROMANIAN EXPERIENCE IN THE 400 TRANSMISSION LINES DESIGN

Insulation coordination i.e. the selection of an insulation structure which will withstand the voltage stress to which the system or equipment will be subjected, represents the most important designing item because it finnally decides the OTL costs. The subject of this paper is to highlight the various meteo phenomena as environmental working conditions for the OTL operating under different electrical regimes; it also presents compatible laboratory wheather sceneries and their impact upon OTL behaviour.
