ETHNOBOTANY OF WITHANIA COAGULANS (STOCKS) DUN. IN DC. (SOLANACEAE) IN SISTAN & BALUTCHISTAN PROVINCE OF IRAN

Withania coagulanse (Stocks)Dun. In Dc. Belonging to the family Solanaceae, subfamily Solanoideae, is subshrub up to 011 cm height, grayish-green with stellate tomentose, polygamo-dioecious, both types of flowers, in clusters of 0-4 and red globose berry up to 0.1cm, distributed in Iran (S & SE), Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and some of Mediteranean area and identify as medicinal plant. In order to ethnobotanical and distribution studies of W. coagulance in S&B province in SE of Iran, we went in some of recorded and other non recorded localities with similar condition and found it in the median altitudes from 0011-0311 m of mountainous area wholly in Baluchistan section almost Saravan, Iranshahr, Khash and around the Zahedan cities that named in local as Panir-bud or Panir-band. Then the specimens identified in scientific manner and prepare good herbarium sheets of them deposited in Iranshahr Herbarium. In other hand we study usage of the species in local people lives. Based on documents of talking and observations, the people use dried fruit include mature seeds and prepare powder of it for coagulating milk in process of cheese making. In addition some of emetic and diuretic usage is usual here that less identified for it.
