chemical composition of the essential oils of roots of two subspecies phlomis herba-venti pungens and lenkornica

the essential oils obtained from the dried roots of phlomis herba-venti subsp. Pungens willd. Maire ex De fillipps and subsp. Lenkoranica knorring rech .f. labiatae were analyzed using GC and GC/MS hydrodistillation of the dried roots of phlomis herba-venti subsp.pungens and subsp.lenkoranica gave light yellowish oils with yields of 0.09i% w/w and 0.05 % w/w respectively. twenty four components were identified in the roots oil of subsp.pungens with germacrene D30.1% , t-muurolol 8% and a-pinene 7.1% as main constituents.
