Investigating Affective Factors on a Difficult Child Learning English as a Foreign Language: A Case Study

Although learning a first language is called acquiring due to simplicity and being a subconscious process, learning a new language is quite possibly a conscious and rule governed process (Krashen 1981). This study examines a 6-year-old boy who learns EFL. Objective of this study is solving the problems in vocabularies and grammar points faced by the participant that seemed to be difficult for him to repeat on the spot or recall after some minutes; considering the natural order hypothesis (Krashen 1967, 1981), there are some difficulties in learning a new language although it is proved children learn sooner and easier than adults
