The Use of Localization, Adaptation of Cultural Detail and Loss of Irony in the Process of Children’s Film Translation From English to Persian

In this study, we are going to investigate the process of translating films for children of age 5-10, as by existing of different cultures translating for children has become so complex that special field hasbeen devoted to this major area. Based on the assumption that children’s films build bridges between different cultures, it’s important to study whether different special features like irony has been transferred to the target language which is Persian here or not. Two films are going to be investigated for the main purposes of this study, at the end we will come to the conclusion that whether different cultures affect translation even for children or not.
