Stressors intrinsic to the job of workers in Asalouyeh

This is a summary of a research in to the working environment of workers engaged in Asalouyeh .The main emphasis was on the nature of relationships between accidents, stress and the psychological well-being of personal working offshore and onshore in either permanent,?operator? status employment, or as part of a contract labour force. An understanding of stress in this unique offshore situation and life style is important because the industry is: -a vital industry in the world economy recently disturbed by recession problems -a new,high technology environment -identified by rapid change -hazardous and potentially dangerous -bestowed with the dubious blessing of a high media image
