evaluation of reinforced connections between I beams and box columns

the paper presents results of analytical study on the response of steel moment -resiting connections reinforced with steel plates was undertaken. Three cover - plate and one flange- plate connections of box columns to IPE240 beams were studied connections reinforced with cover plates or flange plates will perform substanitally better than unreinforced connections. flange plate connections are likely superior to cover plate connections.
