SEISMIC DESIGN FORCE REQUIREMENTS FOR SECONDARY SYSTEMS IN BUILDINGS

this paper examines the seismic design force requirement of the secondary systems equipments in buildings prescribed in the most recent editions of the internation building code IBC the eurocode8 , and the iran seismic code of practice standard 2800 the study comprises the time history analysis of a code designed multi - story steel moment -resisting frame containing a secondary system which is placed on its first , middle and top floor.
