FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF EXTENDED STIFFENED END PLATE LINK-COLUMN CONNECTIONS

the applicability of extended stiffened end plate ESEP connections used as link -column connection in eccentrically braced frame EBFs with long flexural yielding links was examined in this paper a finite element method FEM was used for this purpose and the validity of the parametric FE models was examined by comparing the numerical results to the results of previously tested specimens. the comparison resulted in acceptable accuracy for the numerical models.
