EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF CYCLIC BEHAVIOR OF CONFINED MASONRY WALLS WITH WEAK SHEAR STRENGTH

confined masonry walls CMW with tie columns and bond beams are widely used in masonry buildings worldwide. In this work twoo CMW wall with characteristics similar to those used in iranian practice have been tested the two specimens are half scale with aspect ratiois of 1.4 and 2 length to height and hvae been tested under cyclic lateral load in the structural laboratory of university of tehran.
