Introducing New NON-Uniform Mesh Generation: A Case Study In Determining Tunnel Settlement

In civil engineering Numerical method has been used for Estimating parameters of earth movementsthat can help us to anticipate damages value. In many numerical method like FEM, mesh generating isone of the most important step in solving the problem.In this paper, new non-uniform mesh generating is proposed and base on this mesh generating and basedon finite element method, coding in MATLAB, ground shallow settlement of one tunnel caused byexcavation is determined. Then the results of analysis were compared with the result of previous work.And at last the results have good agreement with that work
