چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) is a Pervasive Developmental Disorder that characterized by abnormalities in the development of social relationships, communicational skills and Conversational skills .They show deficits in sharing attention, avoid eye contact and can t managing turn-taking and topics of discourse and have inappropriate style of speech to fit conversation partners and settings. Many methods and approaches of treatment have been introduced for ASDs, but nowadays some researchers believe that use of robots as non-human intervention tools instead of human interaction is more effective in treatment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is investigating of the potential effects of robots in treatment of ASDs.Methods: This paper reviewed recent studies about Use of Robots in Intervention of Communicational Skills in Children Who Have Autism Spectrum Disorders. These papers were extracted from Science Direct, Pro quest, Pub med Data Bases. Results: Review Different studies showed that the complexity of human interaction is limiting reciprocal communication of autistic children because of their sensory impairments but for an autistic child, a robot may be less intimidating and more predictable than a human .A Robot can help ASDs learn to develop appropriate social skills and can follow a deterministic play routine and also adapt over time and change the ways it responds to the world, generating more sophisticated interactions and unpredictable situations that can help capture and retain the child’s interest. Robots also have the advantage that they can be programmed to respond differently to situations and events over time. This flexibility allows robots to evolve from simple machines to systems that demonstrate more complex behavior patterns. Conclusion: This study showed that use of robot as a new tool in treatment of ASDs have more advantages rather than human Interaction, so clinicians can attend to this point and use this tool whenever they need.
