چکیده مقاله:
Many youth suicides are preventable but there is no single answer or simple solution to preventing youth suicide. There is no such thing as a singular one size-fits-all approach to preventing youth suicide. A Comprehensive Approach should be Multistrategy which are implemented across an array of settings & contexts. Primary Focus &Types of Strategies: 1) For Whole Populations → Well-Being & Resilience Promotion 2) For Potential Interveners → Education & Early Detection 3) For Individual/Groups at Risk → Risk Assessment & Treatment 4) for Survivors of Suicide → Postvention & Bereavement The content most relevant to indigenous Youth, Parents & Families, Schools and Communities. A number of key target groups and efforts and strategies for each settings are summarized here: Being & Resilience Promotion Youth: Positive Youth Development, Youth Skill Building ,Youth Participation & Engagement Parents and Families: Parent/Family Support Programs Schools: School-Based Mental Health Promotion Communities: Changing Social Norms Education & Early Detection Youth: Youth Education About Mental Health & Suicide Parents and Families: Parent Education About Suicide School: School-Based Screening ,School and Community Gatekeeper Training Communities: Physician/Hospital Staff Education Risk Assessment & Treatments Youth: Empathic connection & strong alliance ,Risk Assessment & Documentation ,Crisis response & Safety Planning ,Treatment Parents and Families: Parent/Family/Caregiver Involvement in treatment ,Family Interventions for Youth at Risk School: School Interventions for Youth at Risk Communities: Continuity of Care ,Means Restriction Postvention & Bereavement Youth: Understanding & Reducing Contagion ,Supporting Youth Survivors Parents and Families: Supporting Family Survivors Schools: School Protocols Communities: Community Protocols ,Media Education Child and youth mental health clinicians have a responsibility to assess and treatsuicidal youth and their families.
