Hydro-Technology in Dry Zone Irrigation Management of Ancient Sri Lanka and its potential benefits for the world

The dry zone is a place, where the people possessing Agricultural life style are living in. Since this zone is naturally in dry condition, the great challenge of people in this region is the deficiency of water for Agriculture. As a solution for this, the ancestors have constructed, different irrigation methods, by using their technical knowledge from time to time. The social system based on that, in the dry zone, takes an important place. So it clears that the dry zonal water management of Sri Lanka is an activity, being very close to the people. It is confident that, if this deep technology could be implemented for the places like dry zone, in Sri Lanka, it will bring a great success for whichever is in the world.
