Evaluating the role of geometric meditation on spiritual health, psychological resilience.and life satisfaction of practicing versus non-practicing women

Objective: Meditation is one of the branches of complementary medicine that can be used to prevent mental health issues and improve the health condition, along other conventional cares.The objective of this study is highlighting the role of geometric meditation on spiritual well-being, psychological resilience and life satisfaction among women who have an important rolein afamily. Furthermore, experts should be informed what evidence suggestsabout Geometric meditation.Materials and methods: In this study, the intervention group was a sample (n=۳۲) of women who participated in meditation training class in shiraz between May and December ۲۰۱۸ that they had three hours training of fundamental concept of geometric meditation by practicing it.In regard to intervention plane, Geometric Meditation was practiced during these months which is divided into six specific parts. Mindfulness based meditation (M.B.M), Geometric Somatic Breathing Based Meditation (G.S.B.B.M), Introspective based meditation (I.B.M), Somatic Based Meditation (S.B.M) and mind-body based meditation (M.B.B.M).Data Collection Tools wereConner-Davidson (۲۰۰۳), Palutzin and Ellison s spiritual well-being (۱۹۸۳), and life satisfaction (۱۹۸۵).According to the validity of the given questionnaire and its result, ۳۲ participants were selected from both groups based on their age, education, and marital status. In order to examine the hypothesis, we used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, then independent pair T test, for evaluating resilience. Results: Geometric meditation programs show the evidence of resiliency increase (۰.۰۴۶<۰.۰۵) at ۸ months ۳ hours training in a week with ۹۵% confidence intervals. Using Mann-:KLWQH DQG :LOFR[RQʼV QRQ-parametric test to analyze the variables of spiritual well-being and life satisfaction, showed insufficient evidence of any effect of meditation on these variables.However, intervention group had a higher score mean in spiritual wellbeing and life satisfaction versus control group.Conclusion: In Conclusion Geometric meditation has a positive role in increasing resilience, life satisfaction and spiritual well-being. However, stronger studies needed to be designed.
