چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: When a person is exposed to radiation, most of his body s cells are affected. The effects of ionizing radiation depend on different factors, Such as absorption, exposure time, sex and tissue type that are affected. Some medical personnel such as operating room personnel are also exposed to radiation during the course of the work. The aim of this study assesses the valid and new study about effect of radiation on women personnel in operating room Methods: In this review article data collected by search data sources Pub Med, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Scopus, CINAHL, using common keywords related to radiation, operating room radiation, women radiation exposure in OR, security in operating room and then selected related article published between 2014to 2017 Results: A review of recent studies on this topic shows, 62.2% of nursing and operation room technicians are women s. According to recent epidemiological data, 63.5% was exposed to radiation. These employees have a limited knowledge about of radiation hazards and protective methods. Only 39.3% use protective methods Conclusion: In view of these findings, Failure to comply with the required radiation protection standards can be the cause of personnel contamination and the risks posed by it. If you must understand that even contact with low dose radiation may cause problems for pregnant women or cause cancers such as nasal, lung, skin, thyroid, leukemia. So, we conclude that with regard to the importance of women s health in a community, protective and training methods for personnel should be carefully and more sensitive.
