Background: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women worldwide after breast. Cervical cancer is an important health problem in Iranian women.Pap smear test has decreased mortality of this cancer more than 99%.Cervical cancer is a preventable disease.Recognition and early treatment through screening such as pap smear can reduce cervical cancer morbidity and mortality. Materials and Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study on 300 married women in 2005 and 150 women in 2016 in Noshahr and Chalous cities. Was conducted and questionnaires were filled , with spss analysis data were compared in two years. Results: In both years, more respondents aged 20-39years and married for more than 15 years and were housewives, most of whom had at least one Pap smear test and in 2005, mostly high school and in year 2016 Most were college education and recognition of Pap Smear ensure test The risk of cervical cancer and hope for the treatment and the cost Testing and risk has been moderate in respondents and their proselytism and free the test and know about death and Recognition of Pap and her husband and family and health personnel to visit tips for pap is Very effective symptoms of disease, According to most respondents Pap tests can be an important factor in the identification and prevention of cervical cancer was similar in the two years.
