چکیده مقاله:
In this paper, the behavior of new type of sandwich panels with composite skins which stiffened with square corrugated composite core and foam filled that subjected to in-plane compressive load is investigated experimentally and numerically. In the experimental study, the size of specimens and the experimental test was carried out based on ASTM-C364 and two techniques were used for fabrication of samples; one is hand layup technique for construction the composite corrugated core and another is VARTM technique for bonding the skins to the core. In order to investigate the effect of corrugated composite core on compressive strength, a sandwich panel that only consists of foam was considered and was compared with stiffened sandwich panel. The results show that the compressive strength of a sandwich panel with a corrugated composite core and foam filled has improved to a large extent. In finite element analysis, ABAQUS commercial software was employed for determining the compressive strength. The results show that finite element analysis is in good agreement with experiment results.
