چکیده مقاله:

The resistance of cementitious composite infrastructures to shock, earthquake, impact and penetration hasbecome an emerging research focus in cement technology. Since aggregates make up 55 to 75% of the total volume ofthe composite, hence study the influence of maximum aggregate size on impact resistance of such composites isnecessary for protective engineering applications. In this paper the response of cementitious composite samplessubjected to impact of rigid steel projectile has been investigated. Three series of each group of samples with differentmaximum aggregate sizes were made in laboratory. Compressive and indirect tensile strength performed forcylindrical samples by UTM and impact loading tests conducted for cubic samples using a gas gun apparatus. Ballisticlimit velocity and perforation limit evaluated based on Chen et al (2008) formula approach and damage pattern for allsamples with different aggregate size were measured and analyzed. Results were presented and discussed.
