چکیده مقاله:

Indication quality of the result for reporting a measurement result of a physical quantity is necessary for assessing its reliability. The Digital Image Correction (DIC) is a technique for measuring the whole displacement field using pre- and post-test images recorded. In DIC, error evaluation has received much attention in the past decade, and the characteristics of the uncertainty of DIC are not well understood quantitatively. The present report aims to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of DIC for rigid one-dimensional displacement tests. At different levels of reliability, a dependence of the maximum of quantization errors on the subset size and image quality was established. Our study investigates a model for error estimation based on the level of reliability and shows that the quantization error of DIC can be less than 0.001 pixels with 99% reliability
