چکیده مقاله:

Wound healing still remains a challenging problem. Wound treatment is one of the complex biological processes involving blood coagulation, inflammation, cell proliferation and regeneration, which replaces the damaged tissue during these dynamic and complex reactions. There are various substances such as natural polymers which increases the healing process of wound. In this research biodegradable blend polymer as a wound dressing was prepared, and its sponge structure was investigated. Sponges with different polymer ratios were synthesized and were dried by various methods. The microstructure of the dried sponges was analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Molecule interactions between polymers were confirmed by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA). The swelling degree, weight loss and antibacterial activity of the sponges were determined as well. The results showed that the polymers ratio and the pH value significantly affected the appearance of the blending solution, the microstructure of the final product, and the sponge’s degradation behavior. The bacteriostatic experiment showed a strong antimicrobial ability of sponges on inhibiting Escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus.
