چکیده مقاله:

Influenza viruses is the most virulent human pathogen and causes the most serious problem. Having epidemiological knowledge about this disease is important. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence type of influenza viruses infection in Isfahan. In this cross-sectional study 604 samples were collected from patients hospitalized with severe respiratory from 2015 to 2016 Throat swab samples were collected from them and positive strains were identified by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Our results showed prevalence of influenza viruses was %31.12. Type of influenza viruses were influenza A (%.53), AH1N1 (%60.64), AH3N2 (%17.55), B (%21.28). The most prevalent ages were 25-34 years old (%27). The case fatality rate was %5.8 respectively in 25-34 (%27), 5-14 (%18), up to 65 years old that %91 of them was happened in 2015 with H1N1 type (%70). Most of died have cardiovascular disease (%36.4), We must strengthen our health care system and planning to control disease especially in children, elderly and patients with cardiovascular disease.
