خلاصه مقاله:
This study tends to review some conceptual research on teachers’ critical thinking skills. Research shows that teachers’ critical thinking skills can be identified as the mental processes, strategies, and representations individuals use to solve problems, make decisions, and learn new concepts. The purpose of this review is to clarify the meaning of teachers' critical thinking, to state precious definitions and perceptions on teachers’ critical thinking, and to highlight some benefits of teachers’ critical thinking and importance of using it in education for teachers in controlling the class, problem solving and decision making. This paper confirms the necessity to conduct further studies on the relationship that teachers’ critical thinking may have to other factors such as creativity, difference in cultures or policies made by country. It is also concluded that there is need to promote teachers’ critical thinking in order to promote the efficiency of teachers.
