خلاصه مقاله:
Cohesion is the resources within language that provide continuity in a text. Halliday and Hasan (١٩٧٦) claims that cohesion is formed by the formal ties, which bind one sentence to another. The formal links, lexical and grammatical, between statements in a discourse make that discourse cohesive. Cohesion relates to the semantic ties within text whereby a tie is made when there is some dependent link between items that combine to create meaning. The purpose of this review paper is to discuss Halliday and Hassan’s model of translation quality assessment for those who are beginning their studies in this field or whose knowledge of Translation Studies is tangential.
