خلاصه مقاله:
This study investigated the relationship between morphological awareness and reading comprehension of Iranian intermediate EFL learners. The study was conducted on ٥٠ intermediate learners aged ١٥-٢٥ at Sokhan Institute in Bushehr. After being homogenized, the participants were given a Reading Comprehension Test. Then, the Morphological Awareness Test was administered. The results were correlated in order to find out whether there is any significant relationship between Iranian intermediate learners’ morphological awareness and their reading comprehension. The results of the analysis illustrated a significant correlation between morphological awareness of the learners and their reading comprehension. Moreover, the findings signposted a positive and significant correlation between each of the two tasks of morphological awareness (i. e. Analogy & Production) and reading comprehension of the learners.
