Teacher's behavior associated with encouragement or punishment has impact on student's learning foreign language in classroom. The behavior in different situations has different results. This paper discusses the role of teacher's behaviors, its influence on student's learning and shows the relationship between encouragement, punishment and learning. This paper has two goals: (١) which of these behaviors can have more influence on student' learning performance? (٢) Which treatment is effective for teaching foreign language? In this paper, eight teachers from guidance schools have been interviewed. Consequently, it discusses that the effect of encouragement is more stable on student's learning.
