خلاصه مقاله:
This study is an attempt to investigate the effect of virtual games on Iranian EFL vocabulary acquisition. Based on the result of OPT test 50 learners were selected from among 110 who had taken the test. The learners were studying English at a language institute in, Yazd, Iran. Their ages ranged between 12-18 The participants consisted of two groups. One control group and one experimental group. These fifty learners were divided into two groups (N=25) The experimental group was taught how to play the game (Mischief) on Smart phones, whereas the control group received no specific treatment, and only followed conventional instruction. Analyzing the data through independent sample T-test revealed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in terms of learning vocabulary.
