خلاصه مقاله:
Investigate the factors explain and predict the choice of an entrepreneurial career remains an important research issue. This paper aims to identify determinants of entrepreneurial intention among Iranian student by conducting surveys among 195 Iranian students in both technical and nontechnical disciplines in Kermanshah city, a city on the eastern part of Iran. The main objective is to compare the impact of different traits and contextual factors effect on entrepreneurial intention. Independent variables in the study include personality traits in terms of risk-taking, locus of control and self-efficacy and contextual factor in terms of perceived barriers and support. After controlling for individual and educational background variables, the results indicate that among personality traits, the individual self-efficacy contribute considerably to the level of entrepreneurial intention. Regarding to contextual factors, perceived barriers affect entrepreneurial intention significantly negative. The findings have important implications for policy makers inside and outside universities
