Undrained behavior of composite clays in its natural or compacted state (e.g.core material of embankment dams) has a great importance for the geotechnical engineers .The main issue is evaluation of pore water pressure during monotonic and cyclic loading. ti achieve this, a comprehensive laboratory research program on this type of materials with different cohesive/non-cohesive ratio and different confining stresses under under undrained monotonic and cyclic loading paths were defined.
