Laminar forced convective heat transfer of nanofluid consists of water and alumina up to 3% volume concentration inside a horizontal tube under constant heat flux boundary condition has been studied numerically. Single phase model and two phase mixture model have been implemented to study such a flow field. Particles were assumed spherical with a diameter equal to 35 nm. Effects of Reynolds number and nanoparticles volume fraction on heat transfer coefficient have been investigated. Finally the results of single phase and mixture models were compared to the experimental data. The results of mixture model showed to have better agreement with the experimental data
