خلاصه مقاله:
This study was conducted to determine the effects of using probiotics (Protexin) and honey on humoral and cellular immune systems of broiler chickens. Theexperiment was performed in a completely randomized design with factorial arrangement of (2 × 2) with two levels of probiotics (zero and 0.1% in distilledwater) and two honey levels (zero and 16% in distilled water) in 4 treatments, 3 replicates of 12 eggs at each replicate. On the 18th day of incubation, 0.5 ml ofthe testing solution was injected into the amniotic sac of each of the fertile eggs. After hatching, the chicks were counted, weighed, and transferred into the poultryhouse and were reared up to 49 days. The examined traits included measuring antibody against sheep red blood cells (SRBC), antibody titration againstNewcastle disease virus by HI method and examining the rate of skin thickness reaction through challenging with Dinitro Chloro Benzene (DNCB). The results showed that administration of probiotics (Protexin) on antibody titers against sheep red blood cells found in the first and second times were significant (P < 0.05). The impact of honey injection on SRBC1 was also meaningful (P < 0.05).Administration of probiotics and honey had no significant effect on antibody titration against Newcastle disease virus (P > 0.05). Probiotics injection increasedthe skin thickness at challenge with DNCB after 24 h (P < 0.05). The effect of honey on increased skin thickening showed significant differences at challengewith DNCB after 48 hours (P < 0.05). Generally, it can be concluded that probiotics (Protexin) and honey injection into the broiler breeder eggs have a significant impact on antibody titration against sheep red blood cells and cellular immunity of hatched chicks.
