The research has been carried out to evaluate the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) risk of Jafari Alloy Steel Factory which is located Shazand and Malayer in West of Iran. For this purpose, the potentially harming factors of the factory were identified after the environment of the region under the influence and various activities and processes had been identified. Then, they were classified according to their possible occurrence and the intensity of their effects onhuman, environment and capital. Due to the vastness and variety of the activities performed in Jafari Alloy Steel Factory, the evaluation of the EHS risk was concerned in the producing and regenerating unit. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) has been applied. A comparisonbetween the rate of RPN factors (Risk Priority Number) in this unit shows that the Risk Priority Number in mechanical lifts activity with 160 degrees (high degree) in the first level, and the lowest number is 24 belonging to elevator. With relative raise of members of employers in thisunit in 2012 in compare with the year before, severity, occurrence and number of accidents in both parts employers and contractors shows 32% reduction on the average. Also numbers of lost days due to accidents and medical costs in these mentioned years at least 28% has been decreased.
