خلاصه مقاله:
The study of strong ground motion for earthquake hazard of dams and apartment structure, plays an important role in seismology and the sustainable development of economy and society of this project. Ground motion are defined in terms of peak ground acceleration (PGA),response spectra accelerations curves and time histories and depend on earthquake magnitude and distance, as well as on the regional propagation path properties and local geological conditions. Althoughmany response quantities are useful, traditionally Peak ground accelerations is most commonly used in engineering applications suchas to quantify strong ground motion equivalent-static-force procedures. Instead of using the standard design parameters which are dictated byBuilding or National Codes, in this paper the site-specific design parameters are estimated. For this purpose both probabilistic anddeterministic methods are widely applied today in seismic hazard analysis. Probabilistic seismic hazard assessment (PSHA) covers a widerange a wide range of seismic hazard assessments, models and different data. The goal of probabilistic seismic hazard analysis is to quantify theprobability of exceeding ground motion levels at a site given all possible earthquake. While deterministic methods looks at the causes ofseismicity and the worst case earthquake scenario relative to a certain site. The result of probabilistic method is used to define the parametersfor DBL and MDL design levels, while the deterministic is used for MCL. Seismic hazard analysis for a dam project requires different basic dataincluding identifying different seismic source and preparing a seismic model, estimating their seismic potential and selection appropriate attenuation relationship
