Carefully selection of parameters such as temperature, gas pressure, strain rate, and process time is vitally important for super-plastic forming of titanium alloys. The existing analytical results suggesting forming parameters need further verification in practice. To this end, the authors have developed a laboratory HIP device for super-plastic forming of titanium alloys and conducted some deep drawing experiments. Several
lens–shaped components were formed, a report of which is presented in this paper.
