This paper presents an experimental investigation on visualization of the (material/mold) separation development during in-mold shrinkage of injection molded parts. The purpose was to correlate the separation time with the shrinkage values. simple rectangular plate studied . Separation development was recorded using a high speed camera on a designed and manufactured visual mold. The results indicate that there is a meaningful correlation between shrinkage value and separation.
