Nylon 6 films are widely used in packaging due to their superb properties such as high strength, high stiffness, good toughness, low gas and vapor permeability, and hightransparency(5).Because of the large aspect ratio and surface area of the exfoliated silicate layers they act as efficientbarriers against transport through the material(1). ToyotaCentral Research Laboratories obtained encouraging decrease in permeability, with low content of MMT(4).Tamura et al.have been reported that barrier properties of layered silicate polyamide-6 nanocomposites significantly enhanced (2). M.Fasihi and M. Abolghasemi displayed that Gas permeability through nanocomposite films decreased significantly just by loading a small amount of nanoclay(3).This study focuses on the possibility of improving barrier performance of polyamide-6 (PA6) nanocomposite films for packaging application using nanomica
