خلاصه مقاله:
Development of effective catalysts for olefin polymerization/copolymerization is of fundamental importance both in basic research and industrial applications.One of the master planes toward achieving high tech polymers is through incorporation of functionalities in the polymer backbone through copolymerization of non-functional olefinswith functional comonomers [1] and therefore catalysts exhibiting remarkable activities with better comonomerincorporations are potentially important. A group of polyolefins that comprises a new class of polymers are cyclic olefin copolymers (COCs). Their outstanding transparency, low dielectric loss, good heat resistance, good stability against hydrolysis and chemical degradation along with their stiffnesslets them be desirable materials for optical applications like compact discs, lenses, optical fibers and films [2].In the present work the copolymerization of ethylene with 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB) using metallocene catalyst Bis(2-PhInd)ZrCl2 is investigated
