خلاصه مقاله:
Todays, pollution of industrial waste water is an important problem for the environment and human life. Chitosan(CS) is a natural biodegradable polymer and aderivative of chitin and has many useful applications in field of biotechnology, biomedicine and food ingredients. It is also known as a suitable adsorbent for heavy metal removal from water due to its high amine and hydroxyl groups. Recently, many researchers worked on Chitosan magneticnanoparticles(CMNs) and their applications for heavy metal removal. CMNs can be easily manipulated and separated fromsorption system by an external magnetic field due to magneticproperties of Fe3O4. In addition, nano-sized adsorbents in comparison with micro-sized adsorbents have higher specificsurface area and lower internal diffusion resistance that these features increase sorption capacity and provide better kinetics for adsorption of metal ions from aqueous solution [1,2].
