خلاصه مقاله:
Pseudoephedrine (PSE) is a sympathomimetic amine used as a decongestant commonly as salts of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and pseudoephedrine sulfate [1-3]. Thediastereomers (-)-1R-2R (L-isomer) and (+)-1S-2S of pseudoephedrine (D-isomer) have shown medical applications. Ab initio calculations were performed toelucidate the exact conformation of this drug [4]. Density functional computations were done to study the hydrogenbonding energies of pseudoephedrine [5]. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with drug templates during their synthesis have a high selectivity towards separation of desired chemical or biological compounds [6]. Methacrylic acid can be used as a monomer in polymerization reaction along with a template (such as pseudoephedriniumcation) to yield MIP [7].
