Vanadium Tellurite Glasses samples were successfully fabricated by TeO2,V2O5 and K2CO3 precursor. TeO2-V2O5 glasses were melted at 750 oC todetermine the optical and structural study. The optical absorption spectra ofglassy have been recorded in the wavelength range 300-900 nm by UVVisiblespectrophotometer. In addition the temperature glass transition (Tg,)of glasses has been determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC), confirming the amorphous nature of samples. The amorphous phasewas characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. The SEM results showedthat the particle size of the samples was decreased with increasing annealingtemperature from 3.4 μm to 117 nm. The optical absorption spectra showedthat there is not sharply defined in the glass samples, in accord with theiramorphous nature. DSC data showed that Tg shifts to higher temperatureswith increasing heating rate.
