خلاصه مقاله:
Emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization of styrene-butadiene-acrylic acid was performed in a batch reactor with different process parameter condition; namely, temperature, concentration of initiator and acrylic acid content. Consequently, the effects of above mentioned parameters on particle size, particle size distribution, growth rate (conversion), polydispersity index was investigated. It is to be mentioned that either particle size or particle size distribution of produced samples at highest conversion percent were measured by dynamic light scattering technique. In summary, our study was evident that particle nucleation increased with increasing all above mentioned factors; however, the initiator concentration had no significant effect. Ultimately, some quantities, such as polymerization rate per particle, number of latex particles per unit volume of the aqueous phase and average number of growing chains per particle were calculated, as well.
