خلاصه مقاله:
Efficient procedure for the synthesis of pyrano[2,3-d]-pyrimidine dione derivatives catalyzed by Poly(4-vinylpyridine)-supported copper iodide nanoparticles under solvent-free conditions is reported. A variety of aromatic aldehydes reacted with barbituric acid and malononitrile to afforded the pyrimidinone derivatives in good to high yields. Short reaction times, ease of work-up and clean procedure are the advantages of this method. The catalyst can be recovered by simple filtration and recycled up to 6 consecutive runs without any loss in its activity
