خلاصه مقاله:
In this work, CeO2 was added to the MAS glass system at theexpense of TiO2 as nuclei. Differential thermal analysis (DTA)studies show that by CeO2 addition, the surface crystallizationtrend in MAS glass system was promoted and the crystallizationtemperature increased Up to 1000°C, but thermal expansioncoefficient (TEC) of doped glasses were decreased to4.23×10-6/°C. The optimum nucleation temperature and densitiesof nacelles were determined by means of classical SEMmethod for G8 sample. In addition, according to UV–Vis absorptionanalysis the absorption bond at 400 nm was appearedwhich can be attributed to Ce4+ in this system. Also inspite of TiO2, the CeO2 did not enter in to the MAS systemduring initial steps of crystallization and the cerium aluminatephase formed at 1300°C.
