خلاصه مقاله:
Oscillating flow exists in biological systems such as cardiovascular system. The kinetic theory based Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is applied for the simulation of two dimensional oscillatory fluid flow in an artery. The model has been compared to exact analytical solutions. There was good agreement between numerical and exact analytical solutions. The results show that the profile changes based upon pressure gradient direction in a period. Furthermore, the results show that for small value of womersley parameter ∝=1.5 velocity profile is parabolic. As this parameter increases, the velocity profile becomes flatter.
