A reflection seismogram can be represented as a convolution of a source wavelet with a set of reflection coefficients. In a standard model these coefficients are scalar and real impulses. But for all plane waves, wide-angle (supercritical) reflections are phase shifted. In this case reflection coefficients can be complex and the scalar deconvolution does approach fail.Analytic Minimum Information Deconvolution (AMID) filter is examined theoretically and applied to many types of synthetic and real data. 10% random noise is added to the synthetic seismograms and the output of AMID filter is investigated for different time windows. The results of this study show a compression of different phases in place of maximum amplitude of each phase in process of crustal seismic data.
