خلاصه مقاله:
Phonological process is the process which causes language changes. Deletion of Phoneme maybe occurs in initial, mid and final position of word. Deletion processes are divided in to historical and structural types. Historical deletion follow diachronically rules in which one phoneme is deleted during the time but structural deletion follow Synchronically rules. The tendency in language change is toward simplicity, shortening and as much as possible to use less rules. Among the differences that distinguish colloquial Persian from the formal variety are the deletion and the assimilation of sounds. Consonants are more likely to be deleted than vowels. Among consonants, the most frequent are the dentals and their deletion occurs at the end of the syllable, especially in consonant clusters with the same place of articulation
